From Music Director Heidi:  We have an extra-special treat in the music department:  High School Seniors Dani Mason and Ruby Makoutz are going to join the COM band.  If you have been to a recent Truckee Community Theater or Truckee High School production, you have seen these two in action.   Or your might have seen Dani at an open mic with her band. It's going to be a joy to have them.     We are going to close out the service with a "Somewhere Over the Rainbow" singalong, Hot Jazz-style style.  

On Sunday, July 6 Truckee Lutheran Presbyterian Church (TLPC) and Church of the Mountains will have a combined worship service at 9:00am with both Pastor Pat and Pastor Rebecca presiding.  After the service, please plan to join our 10:00am coffee hour to celebrate Pastor Pat on his final Sunday worship with us.

On Sunday, July 13 we will return to our normal 10:30am worship service schedule.  Please plan to join the 10:00am coffee hour as we host an official Welcome Reception for Pastor Rebecca.

The Loomis UMC Youth Group brought their joy of service and helped with several projects including demolishing the Sipes Parsonage back steps, fixing our fence, and creating a beautiful garden in the back of the church!  Take a walk around our campus to see all the wonderful improvements.

Our tool shed was a delightful mess—until Dave and Bev McCormick worked their magic! Thanks to their hard work, it's now a well-organized space that makes all our project work so much easier.

The Danforth Cottage will be painted from June 19 - July 10.  Please pardon the mess as we continue to beautify our campus, and prepare the Danforth Cottage to serve as workforce housing at the end of this year!

Judy Jensen, the group leader welcomes everyone to participate. 

We read and discuss the books we have chosen in an informal discussion and look forward to spending time and sharing our faith with one another. We pray as an introduction to our study—and we close with prayer.

Our group are also members of the Prayer Net and welcome requests that come to us through the larger church body.
