We read and discuss the books we have chosen in an informal discussion and look forward to spending time and sharing our faith with one another. We pray as an introduction to our study—and we close with prayer.

Our group are also members of the Prayer Net and welcome requests that come to us through the larger church body.

Last Christmas, our church family came together to support local youth by dedicating our Christmas tithe to Adventure Risk Challenge (ARC), a wonderful organization based right here in Truckee and whose mission is to empower underserved youth through transformational literacy, leadership and outdoor experiences. Now, we have a beautiful opportunity to see the direct impact of our prayers and generosity!
You are warmly invited to join us for the 23rd Annual Voices of Youth Poetry Reading.

Come be inspired by an incredible cohort of local youth as they share original poetry written during their challenging, 34-day Immersive Summer Course in the Sierra Nevada. Afterward, stay to connect with the students and staff over complimentary light drinks and snacks.

Ready to trade the summer hustle for a moment of quiet connection? Wrap up your week with us at our Alpenglow Evening Service on Sunday, August 2nd.

Designed as a gentle, welcoming space, it’s an opportunity to slow down, catch your breath, and center your heart. No matter where you are on your spiritual journey or what your week looked like, there is a seat at the table for you.

Time:  5:00pm Gathering and Snacks - 5:30pm Reflective service

Format: Acoustic music, meaningful reflection, candle lighting, and a deeply welcoming atmosphere. Come as you are, and wear whatever makes you comfortable!

A Note on Our Alpenglow Rhythm: Our Alpenglow evening services take place on the 1st and 3rd Sunday of every month. It is our way of drawing the circle wide, ensuring there is a place at the table for everyone’s schedule and spiritual journey.

What a delightful few weeks of music and community! Last night marked the final hosting of our newly launched Front Porch Concerts, wrapping up the series with our ever-increasing crowd gathered together on the lawn.

The evening featured wonderful performances by Megan Lacy and Friends, who provided a  soulful soundtrack to a warm summer night. Beyond the amazing music, this inspired event series proved to be a vibrant new way to share our church’s hospitality with the Truckee community—fostering fresh connections, warm conversations, and shared joy.

Thank you to everyone who attended, volunteered, and helped make this inaugural series a wonderful success.
