Message from Pastor Rebecca
Last Sunday I talked about the labyrinth I built at the Boulders where I am temporarily living. That is the 103rd labyrinth I have walked since 2015 when I started counting and posting photos on Facebook. I have walked labyrinths at churches, in city and state parks, at private residences, on beaches, and at hospitals, museums, train stations, and even the Santa Clara County Water District Headquarters! I have walked labyrinths in California, Oregon, Colorado, and Texas. I guess you could say that I’m obsessed. That is because it has become such a wonderful way for me to connect with myself and with Labyrinths have a fascinating history. They are pre-Christian designs that were incorporated into medieval Christian spiritual practice and rediscovered by Christians in the late 20 th -century. I would like to offer an orientation to the labyrinth to both congregations and to the broader community and the opportunity to walk the labyrinth I made (or one of several others in the area) sometime this summer or fall while the weather is still good. Please let me know if you would be interested. For those who have mobility challenges, I also have a few finger labyrinths that can be used in the same “We are not human beings on a spiritual path, but spiritual beings on a human path.” |

The Women’s Bible Study group and Prayer NetJoin us every Monday 10-11am at Church of the Mountains (weather and road conditions permitting) Judy Jensen, the group leader welcomes everyone to participate. We read and discuss the books we have chosen in an informal discussion and look forward to spending time and sharing our faith with one another. We pray as an introduction to our study—and we close with prayer. Our group are also members of the Prayer Net and welcome requests that come to us through the larger church body. Any questions? Reach out to Judy at 530-448-6474 or church email comumctruckee@gmail.com |

Pardon our dust (and paint)
The Danforth Cottage will be painted through July 30. Please pardon the mess as we continue to beautify our campus, and prepare the Danforth Cottage to serve as workforce housing at the end of this year! |
