Truckee Town Council Approves the Railyard Hotel Project: Thank You for Your Input

Truckee Town Council Approves the Railyard Hotel Project: Thank You for Your Input

To our Church of the Mountains community and Truckee neighbors, thank you.

Over the past several weeks, members of our congregation and local neighborhood took the time to participate in the public process around the downtown Railyard development. Whether  you shared a public comment, or simply attended the council meetings, thank you for actively engaging in the future of our town.

Following these discussions, the Truckee Town Council officially approved the Railyard Hotel Project.

Many in our community had hoped for a different outcome and shared concerns about its impact. Decisions like this bring out diverse views, which is a natural part of a vibrant, passionate town like Truckee.

We deeply appreciate everyone who spoke up and joined the conversation. As Truckee continues to evolve, Church of the Mountains remains dedicated to being a warm, inclusive space where all neighbors can gather, connect, and support one another.

Thank you again for your care, your engagement, and your continued commitment to our community.

The Women’s Bible Study Group and Prayer Net

Join us every Monday 10-11am at Church of the Mountains (weather and road conditions permitting)

Judy Jensen, the group leader welcomes everyone to participate.

We read and discuss the books we have chosen in an informal discussion and look forward to spending time and sharing our faith with one another. We pray as an introduction to our study—and we close with prayer.

Our group are also members of the Prayer Net and welcome requests that come to us through the larger church body.

Church Giving is Easy

Church Giving is Easy

At Church of the Mountains, our ministry is made possible through the generous support of our community. Your gifts help sustain meaningful worship, inspiring music, outreach to our neighbors, and a welcoming space where all are invited to gather, reflect, and grow.

Every contribution—large or small—supports the life of our church: from caring ministries and community events to maintaining our historic sanctuary and creating opportunities for connection and spiritual renewal. Together, we are nurturing a place of hope, beauty, and belonging in the heart of our mountain community.

Thank you for supporting the ministry of Church of the Mountains and for being part of all that God is doing here. We are deeply grateful for your faithfulness and generosity.
