We are so grateful to share some wonderful news! Our very first evening service was a great success with our launch group. It was a peaceful, meaningful time of worship, reflection, and connection and we're thankful for everyone who came and helped get this started.

Because of that strong beginning, were excited to officially launch our Evening Service Series on Sunday, February 15. Going forward, this service will be held on the 1st and 3rd Sundays of each month. (NOTE:  We will NOT be meeting on February 1st due to scheduling conflicts)

We invite you to mark your calendars and join us February 15 for this reflective, contemplative service, created as a space to slow down, breathe, and connect with God and one another in a quieter, more intentional way.

SUNDAY EVENING FIRST QUARTER SCHEDULE:

• February 15
• March 1 and 15
• April 5 and 19

5:00 - 5:30 pm
Arrive for a relaxed time of connection and community with light snacks

5:30 - 6:30 pm
Evening worship in an unhurried service centered on music, prayer, and contemplation

What a joy it was to welcome the Tahoe Philharmonic to Church of the Mountains on January 17 as part of the Go 4 Brrroque Series! With a packed house and a warm, captivated audience, our mountain sanctuary was filled with beautiful, uplifting music and a sense of shared delight.

The acoustics of our space came alive as exceptional artistry met the spirit of community—creating an afternoon that reminded us of the power of live performance to inspire, connect, and lift our hearts. Thank you to the Tahoe Philharmonic for an unforgettable concert, and to everyone who gathered with us to make this event such a success.

As a joyful finishing touch, many guests delighted in ringing our historic church bell on their way out—a moment of celebration that perfectly captured the spirit of the afternoon.

We’re grateful for moments like these and look forward to welcoming you back for more music, fellowship, and joy at Church of the Mountains.

We are looking for gifted musicians to help lead worship and create joyful Sunday mornings—and we’d love your help getting the word out!

We are building a small worship band and are seeking keyboardists, guitarists, and singers with strong people skills who enjoy collaborating. Our music spans contemporary Christian, jazz, gospel, blues, folk, and bluegrass. A piano, keyboard, and full sound system are available, along with a library of curated hymn and contemporary Christian scores and slides.

These are paid positions with flexible, negotiable rates.

Judy Jensen, the group leader welcomes everyone to participate. 

We read and discuss the books we have chosen in an informal discussion and look forward to spending time and sharing our faith with one another. We pray as an introduction to our study—and we close with prayer.

Our group are also members of the Prayer Net and welcome requests that come to us through the larger church body.
