Preserving History: New Windows at Sipes Parsonage
We are excited to share a major milestone in the Church of the Mountains’ five-year renovation project: the installation of new windows at the Sipes Parsonage is now underway! This project is about more than just maintenance; it is about honoring our church campus's legacy while ensuring it remains a comfortable, welcoming space for generations to come. The new windows were carefully selected by the church and approved by Truckee's Historical Preservation Advisory Commission to maintain the building’s classic character while significantly improving energy efficiency to withstand our mountain climate. By upgrading these windows, we are fulfilling our commitment to both historic preservation and responsible stewardship of our facilities. This is a vital piece of our broader campus improvement plan, and we are grateful for the continued prayers, dedication, and generosity of this congregation that make such progress possible. We invite you to take a look at the progress the next time you are on campus. Thank you for helping us brighten our church home! |

Grow Our Mission as the Heart of Truckee: Join the Growing Together Campaign
Our church has always grown through the care and commitment of this community. Today, we invite you to be part of that tradition through our Growing Together Campaign, an effort to complete the renovation of the historic Sipes Parsonage. Located next to our church, the Sipes Parsonage has long been part of our campus and our story. The next phase of the renovation focuses on the exterior of the home, including new windows, updated siding, improvements to the back deck, and added insulation to protect and preserve the building for years to come. To help make this possible, we are looking for donors who feel called to support the project by giving a one-time gift of any amount or $100 per month for one year. These steady gifts will help us complete this important work and ensure the parsonage continues to serve our church and the Truckee community. Click on the button below to donate or visit our website. You can also send a check to Kathleen Zemaitis, Finance Chair, Church of the Mountains, PO Box 1209, Truckee CA 96160 or contact Kathleen at kathleen.zemaitis@gmail.com. (Church of the Mountains is a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization. Our Tax ID number is 94-2557398.) The Growing Together Campaign is about more than restoring a building — it’s about growing our community and investing in the future of our church at the heart of Truckee. We are grateful for your support as we work together to complete this meaningful project and grow together!
