Alpenglow Evening Service: Sunday, February 15, 5:00pm

Alpenglow Evening Service: Sunday, February 15, 5:00pm

Our new evening service now has an official name - created together by our community:  Alpenglow Evening Service

Alpenglow is that beautiful moment when the light lingers on the peaks at day’s end — warm, calm, and full of quiet wonder. It felt like the perfect name for a service designed to help us pause, breathe, and center ourselves in God’s presence.  This service was created especially for those who love spending their Sundays enjoying the day — skiing, reading, hiking, family get togethers, biking, or simply enjoying the beauty of the mountains — and are looking for a tranquil space to reconnect in the evening before the week starts.

Come as you are. Settle in. ALL are welcome in our inclusive space. Let the glow of the day give way to a sacred, centering time together.

We’d love to see you at Alpenglow!

Progress Begins at Danforth Cottage—Thanks to You!

Progress Begins at Danforth Cottage—Thanks to You!

We’re excited to share that electrical and plumbing work has officially begun on the Danforth Cottage!

This is a meaningful step forward in our efforts to revitalize and prepare the space for workforce housing this summer. The progress we’re seeing is a direct reflection of the generosity and support of our community.

Thank you to everyone who has contributed to our building renovation fund. Your gifts are helping us continue to beautify our campus and expand our ability to serve others in tangible, impactful ways.

We look forward to sharing more updates as the transformation of Danforth Cottage continues!

Help Us Spread the Word—Musicians Wanted!

Help Us Spread the Word—Musicians Wanted!

We are looking for gifted musicians to help lead worship and create joyful Sunday mornings—and we’d love your help getting the word out!

We are building a small worship band and are seeking keyboardists, guitarists, and singers with strong people skills who enjoy collaborating. Our music spans contemporary Christian, jazz, gospel, blues, folk, and bluegrass. A piano, keyboard, and full sound system are available, along with a library of curated hymn and contemporary Christian scores and slides.

These are paid positions with flexible, negotiable rates.
If you—or someone you know—would be a great fit, please share this invitation and send a resume to comumctruckee@gmail.com

The Women’s Bible Study group and Prayer Net

Join us every Monday 10-11am at Church of the Mountains (weather and road conditions permitting)

Judy Jensen, the group leader welcomes everyone to participate.

We read and discuss the books we have chosen in an informal discussion and look forward to spending time and sharing our faith with one another. We pray as an introduction to our study—and we close with prayer.

Our group are also members of the Prayer Net and welcome requests that come to us through the larger church body.

Any questions? Reach out to Judy at 530-448-6474 or church email comumctruckee@gmail.com

Church Giving is Easy

Church Giving is Easy

At Church of the Mountains, our ministry is made possible through the generous support of our community. Your gifts help sustain meaningful worship, inspiring music, outreach to our neighbors, and a welcoming space where all are invited to gather, reflect, and grow.

Every contribution—large or small—supports the life of our church: from caring ministries and community events to maintaining our historic sanctuary and creating opportunities for connection and spiritual renewal. Together, we are nurturing a place of hope, beauty, and belonging in the heart of our mountain community.

Thank you for supporting the ministry of Church of the Mountains and for being part of all that God is doing here. We are deeply grateful for your faithfulness and generosity.
