Thanks to the tireless efforts, dedication, and love of our church community, we have transformed the Sipes Parsonage into a truly beautiful space. Please join us on Saturday, August 29, at 10:00 AM as we gather for the official Ribbon Cutting Ceremony to celebrate the completion of the Sipes Parsonage renovation. Whether you’ve been swinging hammers and painting walls for the Sipes parsonage renovation, keeping our worship services running smoothly week after week, or serving in our community outreach programs, your hard work does not go unnoticed. To say a heartfelt thank you, we are hosting a Catered Volunteer Appreciation Luncheon right after service on Sunday, August 30. No prep, no cleanup - just sit back, relax, enjoy a delicious meal, and let us serve you! Hands Needed: Help Us Prep the Parsonage Backyard! Saturday August 22 9-10am
Date: Saturday, August 22 Time: 9:00 AM – 10:00 AM Location: The Sipes Parsonage Backyard With the Parsonage Ribbon Cutting just a week away on August 29, we are putting the finishing touches on the property - and we need a little extra horsepower to cross the finish line! We’re hosting a quick, one-hour volunteer push on Saturday, August 22, from 9:00 to 10:00 AM to spread fresh wood chips throughout the backyard and make the space shine for our grand opening. What to Bring:

Join our weekly morning hike! Wednesday, August 26th
Looking to get your day off to a great start? Join Lisa McCready for an early morning hike this week! It’s the perfect opportunity to enjoy some fresh air, beautiful scenery, and great company before the day gets busy. When: Wednesday, August 26th, 8:00-9:30am Where to Meet: North side of Truckee River Trail starting at the Affeldt Bridge near east end of East River Street at parking lot. Trail: Uneven single track crossing Railroad and heading parallel to Glenshire Drive with generally flat but very rocky path, out and back. Distance: Approximately 3-4 miles What to Bring: Water, a sun hat, and sturdy walking shoes. We have some sweet news to share! At our recent Alpenglow service, we had the joy of officially welcoming Esther and Jan Stearns as new members of Church of the Mountains. It was such a special evening, and we are so grateful they’ve decided to put down roots with us. Their warmth and presence are already a true blessing to everyone around them. The Women’s Bible Study Group and Prayer NetJoin us every Monday 10-11am at Church of the Mountains (weather and road conditions permitting) Judy Jensen, the group leader welcomes everyone to participate. We read and discuss the books we have chosen in an informal discussion and look forward to spending time and sharing our faith with one another. We pray as an introduction to our study—and we close with prayer. Our group are also members of the Prayer Net and welcome requests that come to us through the larger church body. Any questions?
