Designed as a gentle, welcoming space, it’s an opportunity to slow down, catch your breath, and center your heart. No matter where you are on your spiritual journey or what your week looked like, there is a seat at the table for you.

Gathering Details

When: Sunday, August 2, 2026

Time:  5:00pm Gathering and Snacks - 5:30pm Reflective service

Format: Acoustic music, meaningful reflection, candle lighting, and a deeply welcoming atmosphere. Come as you are, and wear whatever makes you comfortable!

A Note on Our Alpenglow Rhythm: Our Alpenglow evening services take place on the 1st and 3rd Sunday of every month. It is our way of drawing the circle wide, ensuring there is a place at the table for everyone’s schedule and spiritual journey.

We’d love to have you join us this Sunday morning at Church of the Mountains. It is a welcoming space where you can come as you are to enjoy meaningful worship, great music, and a message to help start your week on the right note.

Looking to get your day off to a great start? Join Lisa McCready for an early morning hike this week! It’s the perfect opportunity to enjoy some fresh air, beautiful scenery, and great company before the day gets busy.  

• When: Weds., Aug. 5th 7:30 AM – 9:00. 
• Distance: Approximately 3-4 miles
• The Trail:   Walking up along Trout Creek and cutting up to Pioneer Trail, and finding the small trails behind Alder Creek ( Frishman Hollow Trail) and looping back. 1/2 bike trails, 1/2 small single tracks.  Gentle uphill, downhill, and mostly flat.

• What to Bring: Water, a sun hat, and sturdy walking shoes. (Pups are welcome, too! )

Where to Meet: Start/end at the Methodist Church in Truckee

Aug. 12th, I will be out of town again.  August 19th resume hikes.

Judy Jensen, the group leader welcomes everyone to participate. 

We read and discuss the books we have chosen in an informal discussion and look forward to spending time and sharing our faith with one another. We pray as an introduction to our study—and we close with prayer.

Our group are also members of the Prayer Net and welcome requests that come to us through the larger church body.
