Join us to celebrate the last Supper of Jesus. 

It will be as a joint community service of Church of the Mountains congregation and congregation from Truckee Lutheran Presbyterian Church.

We are hoping for good representation from Church of the Mountains congregation!

Good Friday is considered one of the most solemn days in the Christian calendar, as it marks the sacrifice of Jesus for the redemption of humanity's sins. Despite its somber nature, it is also called "Good" because it is believed to be the day when Jesus' crucifixion led to the eventual victory of life over death through his resurrection on Easter Sunday.

Please note, it's going to be a joint service of Church of the Mountains congregation and Truckee Lutheran Presbyterian Church congregation at the TLPC location (11662 Hope Court, Truckee).

We are hoping for a good representation from our congregation!

06:30am - Sunrise service at Donner Lake.

08:00 am - Pancake breakfast* will be at Church of the Mountains, right after Sunrise service at Donner Lake.

10:00 am - Easter service at the church followed by Easter Egg Hunt!

Our Spanish English Conversation Club Kickoff will take place Friday, April 12, 5:30-6:30pm.

Spanish English Conversation Club will take place at the Church of the Mountains where spanish-speaking Truckee neighbors can practice their English in a safe and welcoming environment.

April 12th will be a time where all volunteers can come together with our Spanish-speaking friends for a meeting and greet.  We'll also provide an overview of how our Club will work.  And there will be tacos at this event to enjoy!  Please register for this event by clicking this link so we can get a headcount for refreshments.

Our church has undergone recent renovations. We are now opening our doors to the public for event rentals. 

Our beautifully revamped space is available for your desired occasions, offering a welcoming and versatile venue for your upcoming events.

We read and discuss the books we have chosen in an informal discussion and look forward to spending time and sharing our faith with one another. We pray as an introduction to our study—and we close with prayer.

We just completed a study book by Priscilla Shirer called THE ARMOR OF GOD and are currently beginning Shannon Bream’s book entitled THE-MOTHERS AND DAUGHTERS OF THE BIBLE SPEAK: Lessons on Faith from Nine Biblical Families. 

Our group are also members of the Prayer Net and welcome requests that come to us through the larger church body.

The EWC provides emergency shelter for unhoused adults 18+years of age, from 6pm to 7:30 am the next morning. Check in between 6:00-8:00pm. First time guests and direct refferals from the hospital and law enforcement can check in after 8pm.
