What a Celebration! July 4th Parade Hospitality Recap

What a Celebration! July 4th Parade Hospitality Recap

Thank you to our incredible volunteers for welcoming hundreds of neighbors!

Wow, what an unforgettable Independence Day! As the Truckee 4th of July parade wrapped up right outside our doors, our front lawn and sidewalk came alive. To say it was jam-packed would be an understatement - we had hundreds of people at our door enjoying refreshments and taking a breather in the shade. One of the absolute highlights was watching generations of families line up to participate in our historic tradition of ringing the church bell!

A Massive Thank You to Our Volunteers!
An outreach this lively doesn't happen without an amazing team. A huge, heartfelt thank you goes out to every single volunteer who stepped up to make this day possible - from setting up tables and handing out refreshments, to welcoming neighbors and helping kids safely ring the bell. You embodied true warmth and made our community feel genuinely at home!

Missed the fun or want to relive the day?
Check out our 4th of July Video Highlights to see the packed sidewalk and bell-ringing in action in the link below.

Thank you again, church family, for filling our sidewalk with friendly faces and making this 4th of July one for the history books!

The Sipes Parsonage Gets a Fresh New Look!

The Sipes Parsonage Gets a Fresh New Look!

A beautiful update to match our historic church building

If you’ve driven or walked past the church campus recently, you might have noticed some exciting brightness on our block! The Sipes Parsonage is officially sporting a beautiful, fresh coat of paint (we're almost done!).

To create a more unified and welcoming presence in our community, the parsonage has been painted to perfectly match the distinct, historic colors of Church of the Mountains. This update not only protects and preserves the building for years to come, but it also brings a wonderful sense of harmony to our church grounds.

A Community Effort

Projects like this are a true testament to the care and stewardship of our church family. A huge thank you goes out to everyone involved in organizing, supporting and executing this project. Your hard work keeps our entire campus beautiful, functional, and ready to serve our neighbors.

Next time you are here for Sunday service, a Front Porch Concert, or just passing by during the week, be sure to take a look at the parsonage and celebrate this wonderful face-lift with us!

Front Porch Concert: Another Beautiful Evening! (Watch our video highlight)

Our newest community tradition, the Front Porch Concert, brought the neighborhood together yet again on our Parsonage front porch during Truckee Thursday. Megan Lacy's music was incredible - she was even joined by her friend Justin Eubanks on the mandolin! Mocktails continue to be a hit!

We’ve put together a quick highlight video of the event. Click the link below to watch!

Thanks for making it such a memorable, beautiful evening - we can't wait for the next one next Thursday and every Truckee Thursday this summer!

Church Giving is Easy

Church Giving is Easy

At Church of the Mountains, our ministry is made possible through the generous support of our community. Your gifts help sustain meaningful worship, inspiring music, outreach to our neighbors, and a welcoming space where all are invited to gather, reflect, and grow.

Every contribution—large or small—supports the life of our church: from caring ministries and community events to maintaining our historic sanctuary and creating opportunities for connection and spiritual renewal. Together, we are nurturing a place of hope, beauty, and belonging in the heart of our mountain community.

Thank you for supporting the ministry of Church of the Mountains and for being part of all that God is doing here. We are deeply grateful for your faithfulness and generosity.
