Last week, we had a great band turnout with Bridget leading, Heidi on keys, and Dan Hopper and Louis Pare singing backup.   This Sunday, we will have the same crew and some wonderful songs including "Put Your Lights On" by Santana, "Soon and Very Soon" played old-fashioned gospel-style on the keys and "Put Your Hand in the Hand." Prepare to hit the after-service goodies with a song in your soul and your feet dancing!   

On Sunday, June 8, we will not be holding our regular 10:30 AM worship service.
Instead, we invite you to join us for our Annual Pride Community Breakfast from 10:00–11:30 AM in celebration of Truckee Pride Week.

This special event is a time for community service and outreach in place of our usual worship gathering.
We’d love for you to arrive early—around 9:30 AM—to help volunteer and warmly welcome visitors to our COM campus!

We’re thrilled to share that Pastor Rebecca Irelan will be joining us as our new pastor!

While COM has already officially voted to welcome Pastor Rebecca, the TLPC congregation will cast their official vote on Sunday, June 8.

To help everyone get to know her better, Pastor Rebecca is coming back to Truckee for a casual meet-and-greet—a great chance to say hello and ask any questions you might have as our congregations come together.  Mark your calendars for Wednesday, June 4, 6:30 at Church of the Mountains!

We are excited to host local music coaches Brooke Chabot and Crystal Boutellea and their fun lineup of 6-week summer music classes! Whether you’re into ukulele, guitar, or singing in harmony, there's something for everyone.

All classes will take place on Tuesdays (afternoons and evenings) from July 15 to August 19 at the Church of the Mountains.

Here are the offerings:

Ukulele Class

Tuesdays, 6:00–7:00 PM
Teacher: Brooke Chabot
Cost: $150
Strum, pick, and jam! Learn songs to sing and play together—perfect for campfires and summer vibes. Open to beginner and intermediate players.

Guitar Class

Tuesdays, 7:00–8:00 PM
Teacher: Brooke Chabot
Cost: $150
Explore strumming, finger picking, and music theory while learning to play and sing songs as a group. Designed for beginner to intermediate guitarists who want to make music together.

Harmony Singing for Adults

Tuesdays, 1:00–2:00 PM
Teachers: Brooke Chabot & Crystal Boutelle
Cost: $210
Love to sing? Join our group to build vocal technique, explore harmonies, and create beautiful layered songs together. All experience levels welcome—just bring your passion for singing!

Truckee Youth in Harmony (Ages 8–18)

Tuesdays, 2:00–3:00 PM
Teachers: Brooke Chabot & Crystal Boutelle
Cost: $210
A joyful summer choir experience for kids and teens! We’ll learn vocal technique, harmonies, and perform fun group songs. No experience needed—just a love of singing!

Judy Jensen, the group leader welcomes everyone to participate. 

We read and discuss the books we have chosen in an informal discussion and look forward to spending time and sharing our faith with one another. We pray as an introduction to our study—and we close with prayer.

Our group are also members of the Prayer Net and welcome requests that come to us through the larger church body.
