A Message from Pastor Rebecca
Henry Van Dyke was a Presbyterian clergyman around the turn of the last century. He taught English literature at Princeton, served his former classmate Woodrow Wilson as ambassador to the Netherlands and Luxembourg, befriended Helen Keller and officiated at the funeral of Mark Twain. He was the author of “The Other Wise Man” and wrote the words to “Joyful, Joyful We Adore Thee.” Here is his timeless advice for living with the Christmas spirit all year long. Keeping Christmas by Henry Van Dyke There is a better thing than the observance of Christmas day, and that is, keeping Christmas. Are you willing... Are you willing to do these things even for a day? Then you can keep Christmas. Are you willing... Are you willing to do these things, even for a day? Then you can keep Christmas. Are you willing... • stronger than hate, stronger than evil, stronger than death— Then you can keep Christmas. And if you can keep it for a day, why not always? Six Days of the Week,

Even better, your gift was matched dollar for dollar through their year-end giving match, doubling the impact for local young people. At Church of the Mountains, we are delighted to support youth in our community as part of our ongoing outreach efforts.
